Geospatial Intelligence

Geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) is intelligence about the human activity on earth derived from the exploitation and analysis of imagery, signals, or signatures with geospatial information. GEOINT describes, assesses, and visually depicts physical features and geographically referenced activities on the Earth.

A3 Missions personnel Provide Subject Matter Expertise, Engineering and Integration Services for the National Geospatial Intelligence Agencies (NGA) Warfighter Support Office and US Army to Rapidly Deliver Disruptive GEOINT Technology and Capabilities to Disadvantaged and Disconnected Warfighters.

Key Offerings include:

  • Processing:

    • Perform specialized imagery science and technical data processing techniques utilizing non-standard and developmental software suites and algorithms and stage the resulting data for exploitation.

  • Exploitation:

    • Perform analysis of the full spectrum of US government and commercial GEOINT assets and maintain expertise in all associated tradecraft, including but not limited to, Synthetic Aperture RADAR (SAR), Electro-Optical (EO), Moving Target Indicator (MTI), Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR), and Overhead Persistent Infra-red (OPIR), Geospatial Information and Services (GI&S), Wide Area Persistent Surveillance (WAPS), geospatial data processing, analysis and modeling, and general intelligence analysis.

  • Reporting:

    • Responsible for capturing analytical findings in textual, graphic, vector, or other formats as directed by national and/or local policy and will ensure that GEOINT reporting adheres to national, theater, and local policies which govern content, accuracy, formatting, classification, and timeliness. Maintain familiarity and expertise with all relevant classification guides, security policy, and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs).]

  • Data & Database Management:

    • Identify, research, order, retrieve and sort intelligence data from necessary local, theater, and national databases, and prepare data for analysis using appropriate software and applicable local policies. Maintain familiarity and expertise with relevant national and theater intelligence databases. Maintain and organize data within multiple storage or server arrays, facilitate customer access, and execute the transfer of data to appropriate systems for dissemination and/or exploitation.

  • Analytics

    • Provide real world GEOINT analytical and production support to the Brigade and its supported intelligence consumers.
